BETH MOORE SIMULCAST! We will be broadcasting Beth Moore’s Living Proof Ministries Bible study on September 18 in our sanctuary via simulcast!. Praise singer and Dove Award winner Travis Cottrell will lead the simulcast participants in praise and worship music prior to the Bible study. This is going to be a fantastic day! Buy your tickets now. Tickets purchased on September 1 or later will be $35. Northbrook UMC will be selling a boxed lunch online as well, for participants not wanting to leave the church campus during the lunch break. AMERICAN RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE SUNDAY SEPT. 19th 8:00 – 1:00 In the US, about 4 million people need blood each year. That’s one person every two seconds, and the overwhelming majority of people who need it would die without it. Every donation makes a difference in someone’s life! Sign ups for donors, registration workers, and baked goodies for the donors will take place on the patio or sign up online. ESL PROGRAM We are planning to start our FALL SEMESTER on August 31st all the way through November 16th. We want to keep growing, so we need more TEACHERS, TUTORS, CHILDCARE, SNAKCS and DRIVERS. There are still some areas in which you can help! WE WILL HAVE OUR PLANNING MEETING ON TUESDAY AUGUST 24 AT 6:15 IN ROOM 226. (will be a short meeting). ALVIN QUARLES MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT The 5th annaul Alvin Quarles Memorial Golf Tournament will be held at Bradshaw Farms Golf Club on Tuesday, October 12th with a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. This year's goal is $6,000. The proceeds will be used to build two houses in Haiti. Get your foursomes together. Invite your friends, neighbors, and business associates to play.  The entry fee is $125.00. If you don't play golf consider sponsoring a hole. Don't miss out on this great cause.

Great News - We only have five slots left to fill for our Sunday School. One teacher is needed for our 9:30 a.m. Three Year Old class, our 9:30 a.m. Four Year Old class and our 9:30 a.m. Kindergarten class

Holy Land Caravan is in need of two Shepherds for our 2nd Grade class!
OUTREACH NEEDS! Do you love meeting new people? Does making people feel welcome make you feel fulfilled? The Outreach Committee is looking to form a team to help in a variety of outreach efforts, including baking cookies and food for outreach events, helping to plan fun events and welcoming new families to our church. mops MOTHERS OF PRESCHOOLERS (MOPS) If you are the mother of a child ages birth to 6 years, then Northbrook’s MOPS ministry is for you! Join us for interesting guest speakers and insightful discussions, with topics geared to your specific needs as a mother of young children. Programs will be the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month beginning September 8th. Childcare is provided with your registration fee, which is $150. You also have the option of dividing the registration fee into 2 separate $75 payments. Space is limited, so please register immediately. CARE FOR YOU: We all go through times in our life when we could benefit from a little extra care and attention. Stephen Ministers will listen, care, encourage, pray with and for you, and provide weekly support for you as long as you need. Furniture Donations Welcomed Due to limited storage, Northbrook no longer has a furniture bank. If you have gently used furniture or working appliances to donate, please call Phil Hodges with North Fulton Community Charities at 770-640-0399. Phil will pick up your furniture and it will be sold in NFCC’s Thrift Shop. Proceeds from sales are used to fund the many services NFCC provides to their clients in North Fulton.

Walk to Emmaus
The Walk to Emmaus is a spiritual renewal program intended to strengthen the local church through the development of Christian disciples and leaders. To find out more about the program and finding a sponsor, contact Jason Zemke at 770-650-1482.

Safe Sanctuary Policy

PARENTS: Please remember that to comply with Safe Sanctuaries, all children 5th grade and under must be supervised while on church premises, especially Sundays and Wednesday nights. Please do not allow your children to wander the property or play on the playground without adult supervision. We have had instances of vandalism and children being hurt, so thank you in advance for helping us to keep our children safe.
