Volunteer at Foster Parent's Day Away
Did you know that foster families cannot simply use neighborhood babysitters like many of our own families? Instead they must use childcare providers that are vetted and trained by state authorities. Because of this, many foster families struggle to find appropriate childcare and rarely get time off. Northbrook UMC is giving foster parents who open their hearts and homes to children an opportunity to relax and enjoy a parent’s day away.
This is a fun opportunity to interact with the children and it’s also a great way to meet the foster parents in your community!
