For those who gave of themselves for the Great Day of Service, by offering your time, talent and resources I cannot thank you enough. I continue to be blown away by the Body of Christ in action. When there is a need, Northbrook steps up to fulfill that need. Our God is great and he is able to do great things with those who love him and are willing to serve no matter what.
The weather appeared to be working against us, but God found a way to break through the rain long enough to get the offsite projects started and the majority completed. One of our project captains received a letter from an agency that was moved by our church’s volunteers that came despite the bad weather. Even when the rain stopped their progress, they decided to go back on a different day and finished what they started.
This to me is what the great day is about, allowing Christ to inhabit our very way of thinking, doing and representing Him in this world.
God bless you all, Jason Zemke |
