A GREAT Thank You!
Saturday, April 16th was truly a Great Day for our church and the community. Thanks to the efforts of nearly 300 people from Northbrook and Birmingham UMC who volunteered their time and talents we were able to make a difference for 20 organizations. In one day we built walls and raised a roof, fed the homeless, organized donations in warehouses, landscaped, painted, helped put on a race, collected food, made 160 Easter baskets, visited with homebound church members, picked up trash, sang to seniors, cleaned homes, stocked shelves, and made kits for the United Methodist Children's Home. This wouldn't have been possible without the involvement of every single person. Rather than simply express my appreciation, I would like to share the feedback one of our groups received that sums up the sentiment I heard over and over again:
"Thank you so much for your hard work today! Everything looks wonderful. I can’t explain how much of a tremendous blessing this is. "
I hope everyone feels as blessed as I do to have been a part of such a wonderful day.
Sincerely,
Trey Kinney |
