"This service that you
perform is not only supplying the needs of God's
people but is also overflowing in many expressions
of thanks to God."*
We are looking forward to The Great Day of Service March 29th.
As active Christians we often look around our community to express our faith
and concern for our neighbors. The Great Day of Service offers an opportunity
to supply the needs of our neighbors and express our thankfulness to God. To
this end, a variety of rewarding projects have been selected to fit the interests
and talents of our members. On this day you may support elderly in our community
by a personal visit or prepare a yard for summer activity. Children of the Methodist
Children's Home will receive our support by the painting and yard work at their
home. Other projects are designed to be completed at Northbrook facilities. You
can participate with other members in filling the needs of the community by packaging
or creating items needed articles for delivery. Our community needs our service
and our service can be an overflowing expression of our thanks to God.
Sign-up for the 2008 Great Day of Service begins Sunday, March 2, on the patio.
Projects requests and volunteers needed will be displayed You may sign up for
the project you wish to serve on a FIRST COME - FIRST SERVED basis.
