Northbrook History

We present to the visionary members of our past members who built with us in mind, placing their faith in God. Our history – a history of faith.

The Rev. John A. Simmons was appointed to organize a new church in the North Fulton Area. In the summer of 1979, Rev. Simmons began visiting house to house sharing a vision, and inviting people to become a part of the new congregation.

Just a little over 20 years later, our membership has grown to over 1,400 members. Through faith and dedication our witness has grown to include three worship services, a very active Sunday School program, numerous weekly small-group Bible studies, a nationally accredited preschool, a strong children’s and youth ministry, and many outreach and mission opportunities.

It is our prayer that you might become involved in the many ministries here and even consider becoming a part of the Northbrook family. We need you to help us share the gospel message and serve faithfully in God’s work here.
