How to Become a Member at Northbrook

If you have been worshipping with us and are interested in becoming a member of Northhbrook, there are three ways to unite with the church:

Confession of Faith
When one confesses faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior: appropriate for those who do not have a current church membership status or those who seek to know Christ for the first time.

Reaffirmation of Faith
Renewing of one’s initial confession of faith after a period of inactivity or not being on a church membership roll.

Transfer of Membership
This may be from another United Methodist Church or a Christian Church of any denomination. We recognize baptism from all other Christian Churches.

You may join Northbrook UMC by coming forward to one of the pastors during the last hymn of the service.

If you have been baptized, it is not necessary to be baptized again. If you have not been baptized, you can be baptized when you join.

“Will you be loyal to the United Methodist Church and uphold it by your prayers, your presence, your gifts, and your service?”
