The men of Northbrook are invited to spend Labor Day weekend camping with their kids. 2010 will be the 5th consecutive year we’ve held the Father/Child camping trip at the Camp Glisson Outpost. Bring your kids of all ages, plan to pitch your own tent, and spend the weekend with other Northbrook fathers and kids.
|
The Glisson Outpost is nestled in the Appalachian foothills just outside of Dahlonega, alongside Cane Creek. It includes:
- covered dining pavilion
- covered, fire-heated cooking facilities
- lockable food storage areas
- solar powered refrigerators and freezers
- running water, flush toilets and cold water showers
- large open meadow for pitching tents and running-around space
- campfire ring
- hiking trails
- small chapel
|
We will arrive on Friday afternoon, prepare all our own meals, spend lots of time playing and getting to know each other, then come home on Sunday morning. We’ll all be home in time to rest-up for Labor Day cookouts. |
On-line registration will be available in June. Save the date now, and plan to join us for this Father/Child tradition.
