Sing to the Lord a new song And His praise in the assembly of saints. Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. Let them praise His name with the dance; Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and the harp. Praise the Lord! Psalm 149 NKJV.

Everyone has a song to sing. Ephesians 5:19 tells us to sing and make melody in our heart to the Lord. We are encouraged in God’s word to give thanks through the singing of psalms and hymns and spiritual songs. It is believed that many of Paul’s letters are based on primitive Christian hymns in praise of Christ.

Our Creator is glorified through the singing of hymns, extolling both the Father and the Son and proclaiming the worth of the Lamb through the singing of spiritual songs.

Music plays a vital role in our worship. It is a vessel through which we express our faith and strengthen our bond.  Our offering is most often led by The Northbrook Choir providing opportunities for our other ensembles to contribute their talents as well. They include our three Children’s Choirs, Youth Chorale, Northbrook Bells, the Northbrook Singers, and Northbrook Wind Ensemble.
