From Northbrook’s Senior Pastor
Dear parents of our precious pre-school children,
Wow! Summer is almost over; it seems as if school has just ended! Yet here we go, gearing up for another fantastic year at the Northbrook Preschool. I hope and pray that you and yours have had a wonderful summer, that you have had some time for rest and relaxation, and that you’ve stayed steady with helping your child continue the learning process throughout the summer.
As the preschool starts back, please let me welcome our new families into the most wonderful preschool program in the southeast. You’ve made a very wise decision. Not many preschools are as highly accredited as is Northbrook. Almost none are fortunate enough to have a Director who holds a doctorate degree in early childhood education. In Dr. Emily Johnson, we do. Our teachers are hired based on both their love for children and their marketable teaching skills relative to preschool age kids.
If you are a returning family, welcome back aboard! You know you’ve made a fine choice for your child or children. You’ve experienced the preschool’s teachers, Director, staff, Board members, and facilities for yourself, and have chosen to return. Thank you.
As the Senior Pastor of Northbrook Church, I want to be available to you at any time, should you have questions better answered by a professional quite familiar with the preschool, but one not directed involved in the day-to-day operations. I only ask that you first contact the person or people involved directly, prior to calling me. I want to care and at the same time be fair. Perhaps I’ll have a totally different and maybe even helpful perspective. I also want to invite you to become an active part of our congregation if you are looking for a church home.
I love children, and want only the best for them. In my estimation, to have children in the Northbrook Preschool is clear proof that you love children too, and that you want what is the best for them. So if you need me, simply call the church office (770-998-2000, ext. 225). I will be happy to listen and help if I am able.
