Thank you for considering a contribution to the Special
Gifts, Honorariums & Memorials Gifts Funds! These
funds provide an opportunity for church members and
others to make gifts to Northbrook's ministries in honor
or memory of someone. |
Our Special Congregational Projects Funds
are used to support programs and activities other than
those funded by our annual operating budget or capital
campaigns. Gifts to this fund go to special projects
approved by the Church Council. A list of these projects
can be obtained in the Finance office. |
Our Pastors Benevolence Fund
is used by our pastors to provide funds to families
within our congregation and community who have faced
hardships and need financial assistance. |
Our Northbrook UMC Endowment Fund
is a trust fund established for the future of Northbrook.
Gifts are invested with other gifts and the interest
is used to promote the ministry and mission of our church.
Your gift remains with the fund but continues to give
each year, every year, forever. |
Tax-Deductive Gifts
These are some of the ways that you can make a tax-deductible
gift.
Cash Contributions |
Bequest in your will |
Real estate gifts |
Stocks, bonds, or other securities |
Life insurance |
Besides the satisfaction of knowing that you have assisted
in strengthening the cause of Christ through one of
the ministries, your gift can:
Provide a reduction in your taxable income |
Help you avoid capital gains tax |
Eliminate or reduce your estate tax at little
or no loss to other beneficiaries |
Persons making contributions in excess of $100,000 may
create a named-trust fund, honorarium, or memorial,
as long as it is consistent with the vision of the church.
Do you need to make a
large amount of money to make a gift?
Absolutely not! Gifts of any size made to one of the
primary gift funds will work together with other gifts
to do ministry at Northbrook.
If you would like to make a gift in honor or in memory
of someone, you can pick up a form in the church office. |
