Adult Sunday School at Northbrook

WHY ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL?
If you are a member, new member, or visitor who had not tried an Adult Sunday School Class lately, we encourage you to join us on Sunday mornings at Northbrook. We promise a warm welcome and good things to study and discuss, as well as support for your struggle with your faith, your work, and your life.

WHAT IS STUDIED IN ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL?
The Bible and its meaning and message for our life is the curriculum for Adult Sunday School at Northbrook. We seek to understand how the Bible relates to our everyday lives by studying five major areas of our faith and Christian life:

  • Bible - studies of books or selected passages of Scripture
  • Worship - our Christian community life together
  • United Methodism - our unique Wesleyan theology and heritage
  • Missions and Stewardship - putting faith into action and being responsible for the gifts we have been given
  • Christian Living - what the Bible has to say about everyday living in a busy and often difficult world.

All of the Adult Classes study a variety of topics and materials related to these five areas, which make up the core of the Adult Curriculum.

Come, visit a class or two (or three) and find one that works best for you. We believe you will come to see Sunday School as a place of fellowship, support, community, and most importantly, a place to grow and build your faith.
