Mature adults–60s and up, single, married, widowed, varied backgrounds and opinions—all are welcome. Through issue and topic-based study and open discussion, we seek to understand how to apply our Christian faith to the challenges we face in our everyday lives. Serendipity members are big on fellowship, caring, sharing, and supporting one another in times of need. Opportunities are scheduled throughout the year for fun, fellowship, laughter and conversation.
Friendship Class, Room 228 – 9:30am

The Friendship Class is a large group of mature adults (over 55) whose primary objective is Bible study and a unique and special fellowship. Class time is usually a class discussion format. In addition to systematic Bible study, the class enjoys many social events and supports church programs and mission projects.
Bridge Class, Room 104 – 9:30am

The Bridge Class is a fellowship of young to middle age adults containing both singles and married couples. The focus of study involves a mixture of scripture-based Bible study, parenting and marriage related topics. Class socials and seasonal mission projects are also very important for the spiritual and personal growth of the class. The Bridge Class welcomes anyone interested in sharing this faith walk with other Christian adults in order to gain a better understanding of what it means to live a Christ-centered life.
Circuit Riders, Room 233 – 9:30am

The Circuit Riders class is a group of middle aged adults who seek to create a time of Biblical discussion in the midst of busy life. The class is discussion oriented with a strong fellowship element resulting in great times of friendship. Members of this class have high school and college age children. This class is for those who live dynamic lives looking for a time to be in God’s word and around other Christians.
Bible 101, Room 208 – 9:30am

Bible 101 is an adult Bible study intended for those who don’t feel ready for a Disciple Bible Study Class. Mostly made up of those with little to no background in Bible study, we are reading the Bible together from start to finish, linking the Old Testament stories with each other and with the teachings of Christ. Adults of all ages and experience levels are welcome.
Fellowship Class, Room 231 – 9:30am

Our class is a group of mature adults who begin each Sunday School class with fellowship. We enjoy a discussion format on issues which relate to living the Christian adult life in today’s contemporary society, from a Biblical perspective. We are very active church members, enjoy mission work and have numerous social events. New members and visitors are always welcome. Please join us!

We are a group of adults primarily in their 40’s and 50’s. The class focuses on both Bible study and studies that help us in applying our Christian principles to all parts of our lives. The class includes mission projects and social events as part of its schedule. All are welcome!
Wesley Small Groups
These small groups are places of deep spiritual growth and accountability where relationships are built over shared experiences and Bible Study. Men’s and women’s groups meet throughout the week here and offsite. All adults are encouraged to be part of a small group.
Small Group Bible Study
Northbrook hosts a wide variety of Bible studies that rotate throughout the year. These studies range from topical studies to books of the Bible to full length Disciple Bible Studies. All types of groups are available including age specific, men’s and women’s, coed, and interest driven.
