Mothers of Preschoolers

What is Northbrook UMC MOPS About?

MOPS stands for “Mothers of Preschoolers” (Moms with at least one child birth through Kindergarten). Northbrook MOPS is a wonderful Christian community of moms who have preschoolers.

Moms experience…

  • authentic community,
  • mothering support,
  • personal growth and
  • spiritual hope
  • all to help you be the best mom possible.

Being a mom is beautiful and hard and we get that sometimes you just need a safe place to breathe.

A place to get some encouragement that what you are doing matters.

MOPS membership provides resources that remind you that you are important and we are all in this together.

Come join us to laugh, cry, and embrace the journey of motherhood together.

MOPS exists for YOU!

If you’d like to be a guest as one of our MOPS meetings (September – May), please contact a Steering Committee Member to get connected through this link.

Is there childcare at the MOPS meetings?

Yes! MOPPETS is a fun and loving children’s program designed to provide a safe environment for your child/children, run by trained, dependable caregivers. Infants are well cared for, but if you’d be more comfortable having your infant with you in MOPS, that’s fine too. Your child(ren) will enjoy playtime, bible stories, singing, crafts, games, and snacks! Moppets is more than just “childcare” – it’s a program your children will enjoy and look forward to… so you can fully enjoy MOPS!

MOPPETS is available at our regular MOPS meetings (Sept-May) and is included in your yearly MOPS membership dues. Childcare drop off is 9:30 am and pick up is at 11:45 am on MOPS’ Tuesday meeting days.

Registration forms for membership are available upon request via our MOPS site. Yearly dues are due by September and include many wonderful things including our on-site childcare. If you are not using childcare, yearly dues are reduced. Confidential scholarships/financial assistance for your membership dues may be available. Please contact Dana if you would like to request financial assistance.
