Celebrate the Birth of Jesus at Northbrook
Northbrook UMC has some very special events planned for the Christmas season. Please join us! All are welcome.

Northbrook UMC Christmas Trees For Kids Sale. This is the 18th year of selling Fraser Fir Christmas trees from North Carolina to raise funds in support of children. Every dollar of profit goes to support this ministry. For the last 12 years we have supported two agencies: 1.) Murphy Harpst deals with battered and abused children, and 2.) Project Transformation of North Georgia is focused on academic, physical, social-emotional, and spiritual needs of children from low-income communities. We’ve been blessed over the years to have donated over $400,000 to agencies supporting vulnerable children.
**The Christmas Tree Lot is closed for the 2022 season. Thank you for making it a success!

Give a poinsettia in memory or in honor of a loved one ($10 each). Poinsettias will be placed in the sanctuary and a list of honorees will be available for the 11 a.m. service on Sunday, December 18. Purchase through Realm Registration Events. Questions? Email us.
Northbrook will host a concert by the Golden Bells of Atlanta, a community handbell choir, on Monday, November 28 at 7:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. The concert is free and open to the public.

Come join us for the annual Hanging of the Greens, Tuesday, November 29 or Wednesday, November 30 (or both), 1-4 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Volunteers are needed to make our indoor and outdoor spaces ready for Advent. Please show up and lend a hand if you can!

Northbrook's Advent Festival is Wednesday, November 30, 5-6:30 p.m.
We need your help with the Advent Festival. We will make advent wreaths, gingerbread houses, and ornaments. Come kick off the season with a visit with Santa Claus and enjoy milk and cookies with your Northbrook Community. Sign up to help here.
Alternative Christmas. Unsure of what to give the person who has everything? We’ve got you covered! Northbrook’s Alternative Christmas allows you to give donations to non-profit organizations on behalf of a loved one. The organizations we’re supporting this year are Love-Serve (school tuition and uniforms for Guatemalan kids), Heifer International, and The Drake House. Each donation comes with a special Christmas gift certificate. See Jill Sandridge in the Narthex through December 15 for more information.

Advent Family Sunday School Class, December 4, 11, and 18, 9:30 a.m.
This class engages the entire family around the table of faith and promises to be a meaningful way to more deeply experience Jesus in a season of distraction. We will be exploring the imagination of the prophets, the names of Jesus, and allowing each generation to lead and learn in their own way. You don't want to miss this memory making opportunity to focus your family on Jesus this Christmas.
