About Family Promise of North Fulton

Families experiencing temporary homelessness are often separated by gender and sent to different shelters, sometimes across town from each other. We believe that families belong together. Northbrook partners with Family Promise of North Fulton. We are part of a network of area congregations providing short-term housing for families trying to get back on their feet.

Northbrook is committed to hosting families up to four weeks a year. Volunteers are needed to set up, provide meals, and serve as overnight hosts. Donations of good are needed as well and online sign up sheets will be provided. On an ongoing basis, we would greatly appreciate a monetary donation to allow us to purchase what we need. To give online, click the "donate" button below, then select Missions as your giving options. In the comment section, please type Family Promise.

Volunteer Needs June 21-27 and July 26-August 1

We were scheduled to host families at Northbrook from June 21-27 and again from July 26 - August 1. Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the families will continue to shelter-in-place at Family Promise partner church St. Luke's Presbyterian in Dunwoody.

For safety, we will not be organizing our usual army of volunteers. Instead, we need only one volunteer per evening to spend the night at St. Luke's with no contact with the families.

We are also responsible for an $800 cleaning fee to ensure the facilities remain sanitized and $350 in Kroger grocery cards for the families to cook their own meals. The funds that you have generously given to the Emergency Assistance Fund will be used to cover our costs.

If you are a regular Family Promise volunteer that would still like to help, please consider giving a small donation to the EAF.
If you are willing to spend the night, please click the sign up button below for details on our June and July dates.

Please contact Rev. Ryan Young with questions.
