 Children's Ministry

We want those in WeeGrow, birth - age 5, to start their journey of faith and feel loved by those they encounter here at Northbrook. We want them to know the love of God by your hands and feet as we live out our baptismal commitment to raise them in the faith.

9:30 a.m. WeeGrow Sunday School

11 a.m. Worship Care

Ages 0-2 will receive loving care from trained and screened nursery staff.
Ages 3-5 will engage in a quick Bible story and reinforcing fun activities.

We encourage children in kindergarten - fifth grade, to pursue their "true north" to seek God. This world can be loud and we want to teach our elementary kids the tools they need to stay the course of following Jesus and for them to work towards claiming their faith as their own.

9:30 a.m. KidNorth Sunday School

11 a.m. Children's Church

Children Kindergarten to fifth grade
are encouraged asked to sign their child in the Sanctuary. Kids will be given a name tag then can sit with their families. After the Children's Moment, those who have signed in are invited to gather in the Narthex and head to Children's Church. Parents should pick their little one up in room 202 (
the first room on the right as you enter the double doors in the B Building - across from the Prayer room).

We will have a full house for VBS this year, and we need your help to make the week a success! At Vacation Bible School, kids discover they can trust Jesus’ power through life’s ups and downs! Children will explore the stories of Acts through large group assembly, crafts, science, recreation, and through the Bible story and reflection.

Preschool children (4 year olds) will be in groups with other preschoolers. Elementary-aged children will be in multi-age groups. Nursery and Mini VBS will be provided for children under 4 years old for those who volunteer during the week of VBS as a crew leader or a station leader.

This camp is a place to learn the many gifts, talents, and skills we can learn and use to worship God and lead others.
We will make banners and cards, work with puppets, use our voices and move our bodies all in the worship of God. We will also learn about places to serve at the church to aid in worship like acolyting, being on the altar guild, preparing and serving communion.
