 Children's Ministry

Picture
We encourage children from birth to fifth grade to pursue their "true north" to seek God. This world can be loud and we want to teach our elementary kids the tools they need to stay the course of following Jesus and for them to work towards claiming their faith as their own. We want those birth to age 5 to start their journey of faith and feel loved by those they encounter here at Northbrook. We want them to know the love of God by your hands and feet as we live out our baptismal commitment to raise them in the faith.

\KidNorth Sunday School | 10 a.m.

Ages Pre-K 4 to 1st Grade | Room 211
You are invited to delve into the enchanting world of Godly Play and unlock the power of storytelling, wonder, and spiritual discovery. Join us for an extraordinary journey where children engage in meaningful, hands-on encounters with sacred stories.

Ages 2nd to 5th Grade | Room 202
We believe in honoring children and their natural sense of awe, wonder, imagination, and curiosity. Children are guided through engaging experiences, spiritual practices, and opportunities for reflection, giving them a safe space to ask big questions and helping them claim their identity as children of God.

Safety Considerations
Northbrook UMC believes that the spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being of our children, youth, and vulnerable adults is imperative. All workers and volunteers complete Safe Sanctuaries training, a background check, and volunteer reverence from every two years, and many of our staff and volunteers have also completed CPR and first aid training.
