Celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus at Northbrook
Northbrook UMC has some very special events planned for the Lent and Easter season. Please join us! All are welcome.

The Prayer Room in Building B will be open for prayer and reflection Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon.

Northbrook UMC invites your family to participate in Ash Wednesday, on February 22, beginning with receiving ashes in the morning, 7-9:30 a.m. in the upper parking lot. On Wednesday night Northbrook will host a pancake dinner (RSVP here), children's craft, and worship service where you can also receive ashes. The 6:30 p.m. Ash Wednesday worship service will also be live streamed. Access the service here and the bulletin here.
You can pick up your family's purple Lenten Bag at the Ash Wednesday worship service, or throughout Lent in the Narthex or church office. We encourage families to collect loose change in these bags to be donated at Easter to Trinity Table, a mission of Atlanta's Trinity UMC.

You can pick up a physical copy of the Lent Devotion Guide at the Ash Wednesday service, or in the Narthex or church office throughout Lent. Or, you may download an electronic copy here.
The curriculum to accompany our Lenten sermon series is a book called "The Difficult Words of Jesus." If you'd like a copy of this book, they are $10 each and available in the church office.

Honor a loved one with an Easter lily this Lenten season. Each lily is $10 and can be given in memory or in honor of a special person. Lilies will be in the Sanctuary late in Lent and are available to take home on Easter Sunday. Lilies left behind will be given out to those on the Northbrook prayer list and others in the congregation and community. Login to your Realm account to order.
Join Rev. Elizabeth Pollard and Leigh Ann Launius for a Lent Bible Study entitled Soul Reset that runs Tuesdays, February 28 through April 4. The group will meet at 6:30 p.m. in Room 232. This is a six-week churchwide study for everyone who moves at breakneck speed through their daily lives, often relying only on their own strength to bring God's kingdom on earth. Books will be ordered for participants and can be picked up prior to the first session in church office. Sign up here.
