Legacy Giving

Some of you may remember our beloved member of 17 years, Faye Westbrook. Faye was an incredibly hardworking woman who graduated from Georgia State University in the early 1950s before spending her career at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. She was quiet and thoughtful, with a deep love for Northbrook, especially its Bible studies, the Fellowship Class, and the Metal Club.

Faye took stewardship seriously. She gave faithfully throughout her life, even asking her brother, Gene, to personally deliver her offerings to Northbrook after she was no longer able to drive. Her generosity reflected a lifelong commitment to supporting God's work through the church.

Faye passed away in September 2025. Recently, Northbrook United Methodist Church received a generous $100,000 bequest from her estate. Her gift will help ensure that our ministries continue to reach and bless future generations.

In Deuteronomy 6, Moses reminds God’s people that they would one day drink from wells they did not dig and live in homes filled with blessings they did not earn. We continue to experience that truth today through the faithful generosity of those who came before us. Faye's stewardship is one of those blessings. Her gift will strengthen Northbrook's ministry for years to come, allowing future generations to worship, grow in faith, and experience God's love.
