Upward Soccer at Northbrook UMC exists to provide a fun and healthy outlet for the children in our community. Coached by parent and community volunteers, your child will learn the basics of the sport and the Christian faith in a supportive and nurturing environment. All soccer games and practices occur at the Northbrook soccer fields in the back of the parking lot. Boys and girls ages 3 through 1st grade are welcome! 
Northbrook UMC Spring 2022 Soccer Season 

We are excited to get the Spring Season underway. Registration will be open Wednesday, January 19 to Sunday, February 6. The cost is $130 per child. You can register here: https://registration.upward.org/UPW81641

What to expect:

  • There are two divisions: Younger (3 and 4 years old) and Older (Kindergarten and 1st grade). Children must be 3 years old by January 1 to play in the Younger Division for spring.
  • Jersey, shorts, socks and end-of-the-year gift provided with registration. All players MUST have (not provided) shin guards and closed toed shoes or soccer cleats - no metal spikes or toe spikes.
  • Each team will have one one-hour practice on a weeknight and one one-hour game on Saturdays. Practice and game schedule will be made after registration is closed and teams are formed.
  • Schedule: We'll have a meet and greet on Saturday, February 26. Practices will begin the week of Monday, February 28. Games will be played between March 12 to May 14, excluding Spring Break. We'll have an end-of-season celebration on May 14 after the games.

Coaches are needed for the spring season. It is a 2.5 hour per week commitment with support from the League Director. Background check and training required to participate. Volunteer registration is here: https://registration.upward.org/UPW81641/volunteer
