We encourage children from birth to fifth grade to pursue their "true north" to seek God, honoring our core values:
Wonder: We encourage children to explore God and our faith stories, asking questions while feeling supported in the classroom. Imagination: We honor imagination as a gift from God and allow our youngest believers to follow where the Holy Spirit leads. Play: Play is the vocation of children who are natural leaders in building community and friendship. We host family events to foster community and fellowship while sharing God's love. Celebration: Part of our ministry strategy is to mark Faith Milestones with joy, recognizing children within worship as we commemorate the spiritual development of each believer. Vacation Bible School 2024
Ready to cook up some fun? Northbrook's Food Truck Party Vacation Bible School (VBS) invites children of all ages to get on a roll with God as a parade of Food Trucks rolls into their neighborhood for the summer’s biggest party! Northbrook invites children to pray as Jesus teaches us in Matthew 6:11; "Give us this day our daily bread." These words serve as a reminder that everything we have comes from God — and that it’s by turning to God in prayer that all of our daily needs are met.
What you should know about VBS:
The cost is FREE for volunteers who serve at least two days during the week of VBS, and a spot is guaranteed for your children. Please contact the Director of Children’s Ministry, Christy Merritt, for more information to answer any questions (CMerritt@NorthbrookUMC.com).
