Missions

At Northbrook UMC we seek to encounter God, love others, and serve a world in need. Our missions partnerships bring this vision to light as we serve our community both locally and internationally. We look forward to serving alongside of you. We're proud of the work getting done and the impact being made. You can download the highlights of 2021-22 mission work here.

Guatemala Missions - Love Serve

Northbrook UMC supports the ministry of our members Craig and Carol Hill in Antigua, Guatemala. Northbrook typically sends mission teams down each year to aid in the Hills' work in education, clean water, construction of ventilated stoves, and building homes.

In June 2022, the mission team took 125 sheets to donate to a medical clinic. In February 2023, volunteers built a chicken coop and a kitchen.

Northbrook's second 2023 trip will take place June 5-12, and a few more spots are available for travelers. Need more information? Contact Mike Johnson.

Altar Rail Gift
Each month, Northbrook UMC collects money to support one of our ministry partners. May's Altar Rail Gift is for the Wesley Woods Foundation, whose mission is to create communities of connection, well-being and promise for older adults living in Wesley Woods communities by raising vital funding for meals and housing, pastoral care, and wellness.

Click here to donate and select "Communion Offering" or mail a check to the church office with "Altar Rail" on the memo line.
